Why I think this is funny...

Ok.. I know how cute a two year old totally covering the dog with stickers...  But the reason that I think that it is so funny...?  When I was younger (not quite as young as Maryanne but way younger then I am now) my Dad had a dalmatian dog (Dinsdale) and I used to color spots (with my smelly washable markers) on his white fur and then insist that the dog had chicken pox.. (even the green and blue color spots where the dreaded pox)  So when, Buddie walked in to the kitchen last night with a sheet full of stickers clinging to his back (the one that said VACATION predominately placed right in the center) I had a quick glimpse of what my father must have been thinking when I was insisting that the dog was sick...  That is what makes it cute (like mother, like daughter only black dogs are not as easily colored on)

Do you ever...?

Have one of those days when you have so many "What if's" in your head that you feel like you could just explode...?  (just gotta stay focused)

Proof!!!

Proof that we need sunlight to be happy...  Every morning Maryanne wakes up and first asks for her Daddy and then she asks to go outside.  This kid could live outside (and I think that she would if we would let her).  She just loves to stroll around the yard carefully avoiding the doggie land mines and eating her breakfast, just exploring and taking in the sunshine.  Oh, to be two and a half again... 

Also, let me introduce the newest member to our family...  (much to Edward's dismay)  Buddie (with an "ie")!!!  We are fostering him for a couple of friends of ours for a while.  He is a silly boy who just wants to play with everything.  (including Edward who as you might have guessed is not really in the playing mood.)  It has been great for Nancy, now she has a Buddie ;) and she seems to be much happier...

Only a mother could love...

These are the plates that Maryanne made for me for Mother's Day...  (Michael likes to tell me that it was two juice boxes and a bag of chips later)  The star is to remind me of how Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is Maryanne's favorite song to sing now (only it sounds like "Minkle, Minkle").  She is so cute when she sings that song, so I know that in a few years when she wouldn't be caught dead singing "baby songs" that I will be very glad to have this reminder.  She also painted the heart plate (with a little help from daddy) I think that it is tres chic!!!  She was so excited to give them to me and Michael had her tape streamers to the paper they  were wraped in so she could do the wraping herself...  Too CUTE!!!  The rest of the day we hung out with my mom and my sister Gracie (aka Grape Seeds).  Went to IKEA for a while and I got a new shower curtain!! (I know total excitement, right!!) I was a good day.

Wanted.. Missing Sample

If you see this project (only now with a picture of my mother inside, a very large Virgen de Guadalupe stamp on the cover and beautiful Batik style teal colored ribbon and five altered playing cards inside) please return it to Lucky...  That's right people someone came into the store and stole the sample for my "What Makes Her Beautiful" workshop!!!  This project is very meaningful to me and I would like to have it back.  So if it shows up anywhere around please send it to 4216 N. 7th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85013.. No questions asked.

(Sorry for the tangent it is just really frustrating that someone could be so disrespectful to another person.)

New Summer Hours!!!

Hey everyone...  It's getting hot outside and things are starting to cook here at Lucky 15!  We are setting new summer hours to help everyone have the chance to have the Lucky 15 experience and to help Lucky move forward (can anybody say website???) 

New Summer Hours:
Sunday - closed
Monday - closed
Tuesday - closed
Wednesday - 10 am - 7 pm
Thursday - 10 am - 7 pm
Friday 12 pm - 5 pm
Saturday 12 pm - 5 pm

Don't forget that we are always open until 10 pm on First Friday!!!  So bring in your summer projects and let's get busy!!
